Sunnyside City Jail
Sunnyside City Jail operates a 91-bed facility for local and Contract agency inmates. Corrections Officers are assigned to this Division and are responsible for the care and custody of offenders that have been charged with and/or convicted of misdemeanor crimes as well as inmates pending sentencing from other jurisdictions. Duties include but are not limited to the booking and classification; transport; court security; monitoring visitations; and accounting for prisoner property and funds.
For charges, bail, court, sentence and release dates please contact the Sunnyside Jail at (509)836-6212. Bail can be posted at the Law & Justice Center 24hr per day. Inmates may receive mail addressed directly to them at the address below. No packages, clothing items, cash, money orders or checks may be mailed to inmates. Address the inmate with INMATE (NAME) and then address. Property can be released by an inmate 24/7 to an adult with a valid ID with the permission of the inmate.

Inmate Visiting
Visitors must have a valid state ID and be over 18 years of age. Visitors may not have active Warrants or they will be taken into custody if the warrants are confirmed. Visitors may not have active Protection orders on file with the person in custody.
There is a maximum of 2 visitors per visit, 2 visits per day, first come first served. Visitors must come dressed appropriately with no revealing clothing or gang related attire. A dress code is posted in the facility and visitors not meeting the requirements will be turned away.
There are 2 visiting options, 1). Online is a paid service by the visitor and must be arranged online with a full registration including ID and new photo of visitor. These visits are arranged by the visitor online at: www.visitel.us or call 1-844-458-2488.
The 2nd option is Onsite and is free to all visitors at the Law and Justice Center on Wednesdays 7pm-9pm and Sundays from 9am-12pm. These visits are thru a video visiting screen in the secure area of the jail. There are no face-to-face visits. Cell phones and weapons are not allowed in the facility.

- Direct Pay: this provides call time to one number for an inmate
- Pin to Debit: Call time to inmates by pin number
- Calling card: Call time to any phone number
- Funding for Inmate Chirp messaging device
- Funding to inmate Tablets
Inmate Commissary
To place money on an inmates Commissary account so they can buy extra food, snacks, clothing, stationary, hygiene and self-care items log in to WWW.JailATM.com
When logging in families may also purchase care packs for their family member in jail. These packages will be delivered by Pinnacle Commissary services straight to the jail each Wednesday and addressed to the inmate.
Inmates may also use funds deposited here to bail out or pay fines.
Public Records
All Public records are governed by the Washington State Public Records Act (RCW 42.56).
The Public Records Act pertains to all records prepared, owned, used, or retained by any department or office of City of Sunnyside government, excluding the Sunnyside Court.
City of Sunnyside records are governed by Washington State Court General Rules (GR31 and GR31.1).
Sunnyside Jail records are governed by Washington State RCW 70.48.100.
