On July 9, 2024 the Sunnyside City Council announced the selection of finalists for the City Manager position. We are excited to invite the community to a Meet-and-Greet with the finalists, on Monday, July 15, 2024 from 5 PM to 7 PM at Varietal Beer Company located at 416 E. Edison Avenue, Sunnyside, WA 98944. The two finalists, in alphabetical order, include Aaron Palmquist and Mike Gonzalez.

This event will provide an excellent opportunity for the community to engage with candidates. At least one staff member will be available to interpret if necessary, ensuring that community members can participate fully. Appetizers will be available for attendees. We hope that you can join us at these important events and contribute to the selection process for our new City Manager.

Additionally, City Council will meet on July 16, 2024 at 6 PM in the Law and Justice Council Chambers located at 401 Homer Street, Sunnyside, WA 98944 to deliberate and possibly take action on selecting a new City Manager. This meeting is open to the public and agenda materials will be posted on our website.
