 OPENING FOR CITIZEN VOLUNTEERS

 

 

NOTICE OF COMMISSION VACANCY

Sunnyside Planning Commission

 

The City of Sunnyside is accepting applications from citizen volunteers to fill a vacant position on the Sunnyside Planning Commissionas established by SMC 2.50.

 

The Sunnyside Planning Commission consists of seven members appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the City Council for four-year terms.  The Commission is responsible to consider all amendments, modifications or alterations to the City’s comprehensive plan, to conduct hearings as otherwise specified by law, to hear, review, and recommend proposed annexations of the City, and to perform other planning functions as required by the City Council and state law.  The Sunnyside Planning Commission meets the second Tuesday of each month, or as needed.

 

If you are interested in applying for this unpaid position, please complete the required Open Government Training Act, Lesson 3, and submit a signed copy of the training certificate along with a completed application, all of which are available online at http://www.sunnyside-wa.gov (Councils & Commissions page), in the City Clerk’s Office, City Hall 818 E. Edison Avenue, or by calling (509) 836-6310.  

 

Applications will be accepted until the vacancy is filled.
