Subject: The City of Sunnyside Presents: “Literacy & Movement 2” – A Free Summer Community Event!
Sunnyside, WA – The City of Sunnyside, in continued partnership with Fred Hutch Cancer Center, Save the Children, and local leaders, is proud to announce the return of the much-loved "Literacy & Movement" event! Join us for Round 2 a vibrant, family-friendly evening celebrating community, healthy living, and the joy of reading on Thursday, August 21, 2025 from 5 PM to 7 PM (Splash Pad: 7 PM to 7:30 PM) at the Sunnyside Community Center, 1521 S. 1st Street, Sunnyside, WA 98944
This free event is open to all families, with a focus on youth ages 0–12.
Guests will enjoy:
- More Games and engaging physical activities
- Free Books for children
- Tasty Food & Snacks (while supplies last)
- Raffle Prizes
- Splash Pad fun to cool off
- Limited Backpacks for students (must be present to receive)
Thanks to the generous support of Save the Children, who provided a $5,000 grant secured by Sunnyside City Councilmember Vicky Frausto, this community event continues to uplift families and promote positive childhood development through literacy, movement, and connection.
